Academic Tutoring
All students need academic help sometimes! At Ahead of the Curve Education, our tutoring services will assist students in catching up and getting ahead of their courses. We don’t just teach class content; we also help students gain the skills they need to become successful learners. We also believe that confidence is key, and we strive to ensure every student develops self-assurance in their own abilities.
We offer tutoring in all high school math and science courses. For university students, tutoring is available for life sciences-related courses, such as biology, biochemistry, chemistry, neuroscience, and mathematics for life sciences.
When it comes to tutoring, my values include:
- Personalization: every student is unique. There is no one-size-fits-all teaching method, and that’s okay! It’s essential to me that I get to know all of my students well, so that I can guide them in the best way possible.
- Building skills: it’s important to teach concepts to students, but it’s just as necessary to help students build their learning skills. Learning is a difficult task! It’s tiring and sometimes discouraging, so I believe in helping student develop learning strategies that will help them succeed in their current courses and in the future
- Confidence: it’s critical that all students believe in themselves. Everything else follows from that! A lot of my students start out unsure of themselves. It’s my job to help them find their strengths and address their weaknesses
Virtual tutoring begins at $55/hour for high school and $65/hour for university.
